Welcome Home!

Shaylee Jane Gertsch born June 24th 2009, 8lbs 2oz, 20in.
Well she is finally here and perfect in every way. I went into labor Tues night after a long walk with Jackie. Jake and I left for the hospital about 1:30am and Shaylee arrived at 7:47 am on Wednesday morning. Labor and delivery were great with no complications. There is nothing better then a new baby. Within 5 minutes of being born she was sucking her thumb. The Doctor couldn't believe how strong she was. I told him she had to be strong in order to survive at home with her brothers and sisters. They love her very much and are CONSTANTLY begging to hold her.
When Brigs got to the hospital for the first time he wasn't so sure. He stood at the door of my room for a minute not wanting to come in. I'm not sure if he realizes that little Shaylee is going to be staying for good. So far he has been very soft and sweet with her. Him being a binky boy himself he is always making sure she has her binky also.
Little Shaylee is absolutely beautiful. She has perfect little features and beautiful skin. Not much hair, but what hair she has is dark. My dad says she looks a lot like I did as baby.

Catch up!

Just a little update. The count down is on! Less then 10 weeks to go until our baby girl will be here! I had an ultrasound last Fri. Everything looks awesome! She is so cute! It's crazy how you can see their face so well on the 3D machine! She kept opening an shutting her mouth, and trying to suck on her hand.
I went through Adria's baby clothes today. It brought back lot of fun memories when "A" was a baby. It is crazy to look at her today and see how big she has gotten. She has been in Karate for about 1 1/2 months now, and is loving it. She got her first yellow stripe a couple of weeks ago, which made her so happy.
I was sitting with Griff today on the couch this morning like we often do in the mornings. It's hard to believe he will be starting pre-school this fall. He brings our family so much happiness! He loves everyone, and has such a fun silly personality. He has never woken up grumpy in the morning!
Brigs, Brigs, Brigs.....What can I say! He is wild! He keeps us on our toes. He is definably the Boss of the house! I love this age when their personality is really starting to come out. He is such a fun little boy. He has a cute mischievous way about him. We are going to move him in Griff's room tonight into his new spider man bed. Ha ha I will let you know how that goes:0
Well there is an update on our kids. I hope I haven't bored you to much. Now for an update from the last two weekends. Grandma, Grandpa, Amber, and Shae came for a visit Easter weekend. We had tons of fun with them. The weekend consisted of Easter egg hunts, dinners, and a trip to Red Lodge. Jake grabbed a van from work and we all rode together.

This weekend was amazing! We had our stake conference, and were blessed to have Elder Renlund of the seventy, and Elder Dallin H. Oaks of the Quorum of the Twelve attend! All of the talks were awesome! You could definably feel the spirt in every meeting. Elder Oaks, and Elder Renlund stayed with my parents in their home. On Sunday before they left for the airport our family had dinner with them for about and hour. I got to make Elder Oaks his favorite pie, which is cherry. What an amazing experience to be that close to an apostle of God. He is such a phenomenal man. It was fun just to sit and listen to his stories. I will never forget that experience!

By the way.....

It's a GIRL!! We are so excited to meet her in June:) We weren't going to find out, but Adria demanded she should know NOW! She couldn't wait! I had a feeling all along that it was a girl. I would have been completely shocked if it were a boy. I'm so excited for the cute dresses and bows again!!! Two girls and two boys is more then perfect!

My Projects!

I don't know what gets into me sometimes! I started by faux painting the face of our pantry. Then I moved into the family room....Then I wanted to get Adria's room done! Lets just say I don't think I will be painting for a while. Adria's room took me FOREVER!! Never paint a ceiling white! That is my only advice! After four days, and sore legs my work finally paid off! I hand cut all of the vinyl with scissors because I wanted it to match bedspread. It took forever, but I think it was worth it.

My BABY became a BOY!

I was getting a lot of heat over Brigs looking like a girl with his long curly hair. I finally gave in the other day and had his hair cut. At first it was really sad, and I wondered what I had done! After a week I'm starting to get uset to it. His hair isn't way short, so he still has some curls in the back. He looks like such a big boy now!

Some BLOG help Please!

I am getting so frustrated! I can't figure out how to get my background changed! I follow the steps exactly from the cutest blog on the block just like I always have, but it doesn't work! It's not fall anymore....Has anyone ever had this problem?? I'm so frustrated it's driving me CRAZY!

FuN In thE SuN!

Thanks to good friends & family Jake & I were able to get away to Mexico for 5 nights without kids!!! We had a BLAST! Our trip could not have been any better. The hotel was amazing, food was yummy, company was good, and the sun was shinning:) We swam with turtles, snorkled, fished, relaxed, and did whatever we wanted. Rich and Jackie (our nighbors) were able to go with us. We has tons of fun together! Oh yea not to mention I got to sleep through the whole night! Which was awesome:)
