Wow what a party we had on Monday! Griff has been talking about his birthday everyday for the last 2 months. He decided he wanted a costume party. Uncle Steve was suppose to be Incredible Hulk, and he wanted Grandpa Griffin to be Darth Vader. I was very surprised to see both Darth Vader, and The Hulk show up in full costume. They had both spent a majority of the day searching for the perfect outfit. I have never seen my Dad dress up, and Jake hasn't seen Steve dress up since he was about 9 so it was a surprise for us all. Thank you to everyone who dressed up for the birthday bash Griff is still talking about it.

My Cute Family!
We had our family pictures taken a few weeks ago. Those of you who have kids know how difficult it can be a times to get a good picture of the kids. Brig woke up that morning and was grumpier then ever. I was not looking forward to picture day at all. To my pleasant surprise he was awesome. Every time Heather went to take a picture he held still and gave her a big old smile. You can tell in a few of the pictures that Brig has a black eye. I thought about changing the day, but it wouldn't be Brig if he didn't have some kind of battle wound. His black eye had barely went away last week. He has stated to walk this week and is crazy. The kid has no fear. So, yesterday he fell forward and hit his eye on the corner of the coffee table resulting in yes...another black eye! I will post a picture of it later. Thank you Heather for the awesome pictures of my cute family.

It's about time!
Sorry I have been such terrible blogger lately! My Internet wasn't working very well, and I have had a hard getting my pictures downloaded. So that is going to make for a long post because we have been having tons going on. As for me I had the opportunity to go and visit my baby siter in Kentucky. She has recently had a baby, and had gotten very sick. After talking with her on the phone Wednesday, and listening to how bad she felt. I wanted nothing more then to be there with her to help her with her two babies. So, there I was on Thursday on my way to Kentucky. Thanks to Andrea, Lauraleah, Coutnee, and Jackie for helping Jake with our babies. I had so much fun hanging out with my sister, Kyle, Kasen, and Addie. Kasen is my little buddy and I miss him and am looking forward to seeing him at Christmas.

Labor Day Weekend
We had such a fun weekend! On Saturday we took Adria and Griff to the Bighorn River for the first time. They were so fun to have along. Jake caught the nicest brown he has ever caught. Good job babe! Adria loved saving the bugs in the water and Griff was good as long as he had a snack. The next morning we went over the Beartooth pass and went and visited a friend who has a cabin right on the clarks fork river. It would be so fun having a cabin like that! Adria loved catching the baby fish, and Griff loved playing in the sand with a stick. On Monday we slept in and went to breakfast with our neighbors. Later that day we went and looked for elk. It was fun just hanging out together as a family. To bad labor day only comes once a year.

Schoool Girl & School Mom
I'm a school mom now! I tried so hard not to cry when I dropped my baby girl off to school today. Well, it didn't work I had a hard time walking away. The good news is I didn't let her see me. When I pulled into the parking lot this morning I asked, "Do you want me to walk you up?"..."No thanks I'm fine." To bad I didn't give her a choise. She was so excited to start school. She has been patietly waiting all summer, and is so excited to meet new friends. All I can think is WOW they grow up way to fast. Hopefully it will get easier each day as I let my baby go.

Memory Lane
My friend Katie has this posted on her blog. What a fun way to bring back fun memories that you have with friends and family. Hope you will play along!
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! (Chelsie, or Jake)
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Family FUN!
Sorry it has taken me a while to get these pictures posted! I tried sooner, but I had the slide show all done and my Internet quit working! I hate it when that happens! We had so much fun at our first Steven Gertsch family reunion. We went to Island Park and stayed at a camp ground right next to the Henry's River. The river was shallow, slow moving, and perfect for the kids. On the 4th we went to Yellowstone for the parade, and dinner in the park. My favorite event was floating the river with 25 people on two small boats and whatever else we could find that would float! I'm sure people that saw us thought we were crazy, and maybe a little bit weird! I'm surprised Jim's little boat didn't sink....The funniest was Grandpa floating on a little pink tube from Target. I ha so much fun getting to know Jake's family a little bit better. When we go to Utah we spend time all together, but it is always crazy with the kids and such a short period of time. It was fun sitting around that camp fire at night just hanging out. The kids also had a lot of time just to play with their cousins.

Custer's Last Stand....
We went to the Custer's last stand reenactment on Saturday with Rich and Jackie. It was a perfect day to go. I was afraid it was going to be scorching hot, but it was awesome about 75 with a slit breeze. The kids had lots of fun seeing the cowboys and Indians ride around shooting their guns and arrows.
This is a picture with Crazy Horse. As you can tell Griff just stared at him he didn't know what to think. Below is a picture of Custer. He thought he was a movie star and was to good to get off his high horse and get a picture with anyone.
We did have a little bad luck after the show Jake and Rich had to change a flat tire. We missed you Grandpa Gertsch maybe net year you will be able to make it up.

Summer Fun!
We have been having lots of fun this summer. It always goes by so fast, so we have been trying to get out every opportunity we can. We went boating at the reservoir last weekend with Rich, Jackie, and Ben and had tons of fun. We caught lots of different kinds of fish. I think the kids favorite part was swimming with Jackie. She is such a sport! The kids have also been taking swimming lessons. "A" moved up a level and has been in the deep end! She was kind of scared at first but she is doing awesome! Griff is also getting more comfortable with going under the water. Did you check out my green onions out of my garden. I was so excited I had to take a picture! I know I'm a dork! We used them in a marinade for our yummy chicken kabobs.

You got 2 do what you got 2 do!
Those of you who know Brig well know that he isn't the best of sleeper. His aunt bought him a shirt that says "sleep is for the weak." Today when I was rocking him before an attempt to lay him down Carter came in the room and turned on his swing. Brig just sat there and stared at the swing. I haven't put him in it for along time because I figured he grew out of it. I decided what the heck I would try it. Five mins later I walked in the room and there he was fast asleep!!!Yeah!!! It doesn't look very comfortable but, I think I will leave him for a little while.
I laughed when I downloaded my pictures. "A" got a hold of the camera. She takes after her silly daddy.

Aunt Chelsie Griffy peed his pants!!
Those of you who know Kennedy and Giffin well know that their favorite thing to do is to play Chelsie and Jake. Kennedy puts on my high heels, and Griff wears daddys dress shoes. They walk around the house holding hands. It is actully really cute! I'm just glad that "Chelsie and Jake" are so nice to eachother:)Well today Court dropped the girls off so she could go to the church. We were in the kitchen before she left and Kennedy came running up and said, "Aunt Chelsie Griffy peed his pants!" I called for Griff he came walking up the stairs with the cutest face ever. I asked him,
Mom-"Where did you pee at"
Griff-"Daddys shoes"
Court and I have never laughed so hard...... Sure enough Jake's best dress shoes where soaked in pee!

Check out our Trampoline!
We have had lots of fun playing games and hanging out on the tramp. Griff's eye doctor said that a tramp would be really good for his eyes. Jumping will help with his cordination, and improving his eyesight. I hope it works:) Jake has wanted a tramp since he was little. We can't wait for it to get warm so we can spend even more time on it!

He's a Keeper!
Jake and I went fishing on the Bighorn again on Saturday. I didn't catch a trophy fish, but I did get the biggest snag ever! I hooked Jake on the face!!! I missed a fish and pulled my line out of the water and wacked Jake. It wasn't funny at the time, but it is now. Good thing it was a small fly!

Time Flies!
Adria got her kindergarten shots on Tuesday! I can't tell you how good it feels now that they are over! She was scared, and wasn't very happy when she got them!! Just some advice for you moms who have to take your soon to be kindergartner to get there shots make sure they wear a short sleeve shirt! The hardest part was taking Adria's shirt off. WOW she is tuff!! After a traumatic hour at the doctors she was better after a trip to wal-mart to pick out a prize.
6 Months Already!?!?
Brigham is weighing in at 18.5 lbs and is 27.5 in long. I can't believe how big he has gotten! Time flies! He is still yet to sleep through the night. I am trying to embrace the moment. I think I have gotten uset to getting up with him. I have realized after three kids soon he will be big and my precious nights with him will be gone! It's all about a positive attitude Right?
